FAQs

  • The pressure used will be tailored to your preferences and needs. Whether you prefer a gentle, relaxing touch or a firmer, deeper massage, we will discuss this beforehand to ensure your comfort.

  • You are welcome to wear whatever makes you feel comfortable. Most clients undress to their underwear, but you will always be draped with a towel, and only the area being worked on will be uncovered.

  • Sessions typically last 60 or 90 minutes, including a short consultation at the beginning to discuss your needs and preferences.

  • Yes! Pregnancy massage is safe and beneficial for most expectant mothers. However, it’s best to wait until after the first trimester, and I will adjust techniques to ensure your comfort and safety. Please consult your doctor if you have any concerns.

  • Certain conditions, such as fever, contagious illnesses, recent injuries, or some medical conditions, may mean massage isn’t suitable. If you have concerns, please consult a doctor beforehand and inform me of any medical conditions during our consultation.

  • Some people experience mild soreness or tenderness after a deep tissue or therapeutic massage, similar to post-workout muscle soreness. This usually fades within a day or two and is a sign that your body is responding to the treatment.

  • This depends on your goals. For relaxation, a monthly session may be ideal, while for chronic pain or stress relief, more frequent sessions may be beneficial.

  • It’s recommended to drink plenty of water, avoid strenuous activities, and allow yourself time to relax to fully enjoy the benefits of your massage.

  • I use organic grapeseed oil, a light, non-greasy oil with natural, non-allergenic properties. It’s highly moisturising, absorbs easily, and is rich in antioxidants and vitamin E, helping to nourish and protect the skin. If you have any specific allergies, please let me know in advance so I can accommodate your needs.
